Ana was born in Tijuana, Mexico and raised in San Francisco, California. She attended City College of San Francisco and earned her A.S. degree in Business Administration. Ana married David in 1997 and moved to Antioch two years later to raise their family. Her work experience was mainly with payroll and accounting. Ana had a great opportunity to work for The City of Brentwood where she performed administrative duties in the Finance, Engineering, Economic, Community Development departments, and City Managers office. Just when she became comfortable working in this wonderful work environment, Ana learned that she was expecting twins. She decided to become a stay-at-home-mom. Nathan and Jasmine are now 6 years old and keep her busy. Ana has dedicated her time to volunteering in her children's classrooms and becoming involved in numerous sports and activities.
Two years ago, Nathan was diagnosed with Autism. With the love and support of their family, the Chueys accepted the challenge and dove into the world of Autism. Ana became involved with a few support groups and made great connections with families who could relate to their experience. Through the help of wonderful friends, websites, conferences, workshops and books, Ana learned to become an advocate for her son. Nathan receives speech therapy, occupational therapy, behavioral services, and has an 1:1 aide at school. These services are not always available for all special needs children. That is why she chose to join Lisa in her dream to build a site for The Special Kids Foundation. Ana hopes to help families with their needs and let them know they are not alone.
