Dr. Suzanne Lowe, Director
Felicia Schweller grew up in the San Ramon Valley and always knew she wanted to work with children. As a high school student she worked at a pre- school through her ROP Child Development class. While attending college at Saint Mary's in Moraga CA, Felicia continued to work with children in before and school programs at local elementary schools. In 1997 she received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology and then moved to San Diego to attend National University where she completed her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and her Masters in Multicultural Education.She then moved back to the Bay Area and completed her student teaching with the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.
In 2001Felicia was hired by Oakley Union School District and has has been teaching at Vintage Parkway School in Oakley, Ca for the past 10 years. She has taught a variety of different grades including, Kindergarten, 1st. 5th , special education and is currently teaching a 4/5 combination class with her job share partner.
She married Mark Schweller in 2001 and had a daughter Alyssa in 2004. Around the age of 3 Alyssa was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome a rare genetic disorder.
Felicia lives in Discovery Bay,CA with her husband and daughter. She is the TOPSoccer coordinator for East Diablo Youth Soccer League. TOPSoccer is a soccer program designed for children who have special needs. She also loves being involved with Challenger baseball, swimming and gymnastics.
